Jeremy Brynes
CEO
Jeremy Brynes has served as the CEO of Elite Hospital Kingwood since October of 2018.
Jeremy brings a wealth of experience to Elite Hospital Kingwood. Previously, Jeremy served as Assistant Vice President of Health Systems Operations & Administrator of the UTMB League City Hospital. In that role, he was responsible for the day-to-day operations and performance UTMB’s rapidly-growing community-based academic medical center hospital. He also oversaw service line strategic planning and business development for all of UTMB’s hospitals and clinics.
Prior to UTMB, Jeremy served for over 12 years at Memorial Hermann Healthcare System, the last seven of which he served as Assistant Administrator & Director of Business Development for Memorial Hermann Greater Heights hospital.
Jeremy received his B.S. in Economics from SUNY Cortland and his M.B.A. from Tulane University’s A.B. Freeman School of Business. Jeremy and his wife, Courtney, have three children. His unique background and experience offer a fresh perspective on the patient experience. Together, he and Elite Hospital Kingwood are changing the definition of emergency care for the people of Northeast Harris and Montgomery Counties.
Brenda Hess
CNO
Brenda Hess is the CNO at Elite Hospital Kingwood. Growing up in Conroe, Texas, Brenda always thought she wanted to teach special education and coach. That changed in 1992 when she graduated high school and went into emergency medicine. She earned her Associates Degree in Applied Science and her Associates Degree in Nursing from Lonestar College, later she earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing and her Master of Science in Nursing Administration from Grand Canyon University. Brenda is also a licensed paramedic, having worked most of her career in EMS at Montgomery County Hospital District. She has always felt a calling to serve others and is proud to be able to live that calling through patient care.
Brenda’s husband of 17 years, Darren, currently serves as the director of the Office of Emergency Management and Homeland Security in Montgomery County. They have 2 daughters, Kendall, who is studying nursing at Abliene Christian University and Kennedy, who is a Junior at Covenant Christian School where she is in National Honor Society and is involved in varsity cheerleading and track.
Dr. Chris Hummel
Medical Director
Dr. HummeI is the Medical Director at Elite Hospital Kingwood. He grew up in a small town in Northern Michigan. After High School, Dr. Hummel attended Michigan State University for his undergraduate and medical degree. Upon completion of his Emergency Medicine Residency program, he practiced In the quaint lakeside town of Grand Haven, Michigan for 10 years.
In 2015, eager to get away from winter, Dr. Hummel and his family moved to The Woodlands, Texas. Dr. Hummel and his wife Rebecca have been married for 21 years. They have two children; Their son Ethan who is 16 years old and their daughter Raina is 14 years old.
Dr. Hummel is committed to providing residents of the greater Lake Houston area with personalized service and friendly care. He enjoys constantly learning about new advances in medicine to provide cutting edge, accurate care.
