Elite Hospital Kingwood Ribbon Cutting Event
Thursday, March 22, 2018 is a day to remember. Elite Hospital Kingwood debuted its striking new facility to the Kingwood and surrounding area communities via 3 local Chambers of Commerce in a memorable Ribbon Cutting Ceremony Event featuring the Lake Houston Area Chamber of Commerce, the East Montgomery County Chamber of Commerce and the Kingwood Chamber of Commerce.
Kingwood Park High School participated in the event by bringing the Silver Stars drill team and the KPark Band drum line to entertain. High-kicks and tribal rhythms thrilled event-goers.
In addition to the exciting live performances, there were food vendors who pulled out all the stops. Tin Roof Barbeque of Atascocita brought out their mobile food truck and served pulled port sliders and barbeque beef sliders with potato salad and roasted bacon wrapped jalapenos.
El Latino Hotdog & Latino Aguas Frescas featuring the “Sonoran Dog” and gourmet hot dogs with every imaginable fixin’, were serving guests in force.
There was also freshly popped popcorn and cotton candy, bringing something for children of all ages to participant’s palettes.
Super-heroes Wonder Woman and Captain America along with Mickey and Minnie Mouse roamed the parking lot taking photos with families. Every child had a smile from ear to ear.
At approximately 3:45 pm, the 1st responder helicopter team with PHI Air Medical landed in the KEC back parking lot to the delight of event participants. Once the helicopter blades were silent, spectators swarmed the bird. Families with children got a first-hand view of the conditions air emergency vehicles face when tackling critical injuries and medical conditions. While they snapped family pics, participants were able to realize the challenges and protocol required to provide air-assist emergency care.
The Atascocita EMS and Volunteer Fire Department first responders supported the event with a tour of their Mass Casualty Unit which was parked in front of the facility. Parents and children walked through the vehicle and were able to even sit in the driver’s seat and imagine what it would be like to respond in a crisis situation. The local community was so thrilled with the hands-on approach to showing how emergencies of every size are managed.
Event photographer, Blu Velvet Photography, was present to record every smile and notable moment.
Elite Hospital Kingwood is proud to be a part of the local community and we look forward to growing long-lasting relationships with schools, sports teams, organizations and families.
